Catalog Course Description

The analysis and design of hydronic systems including piping, plumbing, pumping, and the water-side of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC). Not open for credit to those taking the mechanical/energy section of ARCE 698 or 699. Prerequisite: ARCE 660 or consent of the instructor.

Required or Elective Course?

This course is an elective for non-HVAC/Solar option (BMES) B.S. in architectural engineering students, other undergraduate engineering (e.g., BSME), and graduate engineering students. The course is taught annually in the Spring semesters in the same room and at the same time as ARCE 698 or 699 with Prof. Rock. ARCE 662 is three credit-hours of engineering design.
