Yes, amazingly, the Lawrence Arts Center has let me loose on my own creative writing workshop. Here's the description for the workshop as it appears in their class listing:
Poetry as Play (for Grownups!) Sarah Kanning
In this workshop, we will play with language, especially by using sound, rhythm, imaginative language — and by breaking "the rules" — to write poems. We will use guided activities to get writing, increase our creativity, and shake off writer's block. Adults writing at all levels are welcome. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes — because writing poetry does not necessarily mean sitting still!
Mondays 7-8:30pm, Fee: $56
