short profile.
I was born in Narsingdi, Bangladesh (a country in the South Asia) and grew
up in Demra, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I had my Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) and Higher
Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) from Bawany High School, Demra and Dhaka College, Dhaka,
respectively. I received Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
degree in Applied
Chemistry & Chemical Technology from the University
of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
After graduating from the University of Dhaka, I joined as a quality
assurance trainee officer at the Quality Assurance Department of the Nestle Bangladesh
Limited, Sripur, Bangladesh on October 15, 1996. On December 24, 1996, I became a lecturer
at the Department of Chemical Engineering
& Polymer Science, Shahjalal University of Science
& Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
I moved to the United States on December 30,
1998 to pursue higher studies in the field of chemistry. I received a Master of Science
(M.S.) degree (August 2001) in Chemistry from Tuskegee
University, Tuskegee, Alabama, USA. Presently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of
Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry,
University of Kansas, Lawrence, USA.
I like to be called by my middle name, Ehsanul (Ehsan). Also, I am called
by my first name, Mohammed (M. or Md.) and last name, Hoque.
I have been happily
married to "Fauzia Mustafa" since January 04, 2002. She has B.Sc. and M.Sc.
degrees in Zoology. She is planning to go school soon, here in USA to pursue higher
studies in the field of Microbiology.
I like traveling to
new places, watching movies, and having good times with the people I like. Also, I like
listening to music, watching games, and playing tennis and ping pong (table tennis). |
