I believe in action teaching and using the classroom as a catalyst for positive social change. I encourage students to question the motivations behind dominant understandings of reality, in particular those that devalue certain groups or underestimate their potential. In this regard, I hope to increase social consciousness and promote empowerment to reject the status quo, freeing students to challenge themselves in ways that might not have otherwise.
