Literature survey

In 1975, Cyrus Chothia studied the formation of the protein-protein interface by the insulin dimer and indicated that hydrophobicity is the major factor stabilising protein-protein association[pubmed].

In 1985, Quasi-chemical approximation [PDF] was proposed by Sanzo Miyazawa and Robert L. Jernigan.

In 1990, Sippl, M. J developed a distance dependent potential function [PDF] using the law of Boltzmann.

In 2001, Lin Jiang [pubmed] derived an empirical energy scoring function based on four atom types: hydrogen bond donor, hydrogen bond acceptor, both donor and acceptor, and neutral atom (neither donor nor acceptor) from a representative training data set.

A web-server, ProFace (available at http://www.boseinst.ernet.in/resources/bioinfo/stag.html ) has been developed by Rudra P Saha [pubmed] for dissecting protein-protein interfaces and deriving various physicochemical parameters.

My research

Benchmark on protein-protein docking is avaible. Protein-protein docking decoys sets are also avaible[Gramm decoys, ZDock and RDock decoy, Graylab's decoys., FTDock decoys.] Protein-DNA Docking Decoys is also avaible[Varani's lab]. ......to be published......:)
